Through Partners in Policymaking classes I have a new perspective of myself and others with disabilities.  Now I have a clearer vision of what I can do to help myself and other individuals with disabilities.
            Ricardo Mourao, self-advocate, Plymouth

Participating in Partners has by far been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, as well as one of the most life changing & beneficial.  I had no clue what I signed up for, but what I learned has transformed all areas in my life!  If I could change one thing (and only one thing) it would be to have more time with the class to absorb more information.  Thank you!
            Amanda Vojak, parent, Bemidji

This is an absolutely amazing program for anyone that doesn’t just want to sit back & have the doctors and therapists and Diagnostic & Statistical Manual tell you about your child’s disability.  Partners is for those who really want to make a difference not just for their own kids, but for many more to come!
            Monica Mooney, parent, Rosemount

Partners has helped me to be stronger, better person.  It showed me how to help other kids with disabilities in IEP meetings and how to teach others overcome boundaries.  Thanks for teaching me how to be a strong advocate for myself.  I learned a lot from Class 28.
            Katie McDermott, self-advocate, St. Paul

This program is especially important for those living in Greater Minnesota because we often
feel isolated from the decision makers.
Janice Goudy, parent, Effie

Partners has opened my eyes to information I never knew existed.  Thanks to Partners,
I know my son’s life will forever be changed.
Andrea Miller, parent, Fairmont

I feel very empowered by the information I received verbally and in the many pounds of paper I received each month.  I now feel better able to help my son, others and myself.  The relationships & friendships made through Partners will last beyond the classroom.
Deb Reif-Reda, parent, Moorhead

Partners has helped me learn how to advocate for my son regarding his rights. Thanks for providing me with Spanish interpreter services during the past nine months This support helped me a lot!
            Lorena Espinoza Cielo, parent, Minneapolis

It is unbelievable to me the breadth of knowledge that we have covered in these past nine months.
I had no idea the history, the path of policies and laws, the inherent value of individual voices; and how loud they can be when armed with history, tactics, networking and self confidence.
I am grateful for having the Partners experience!
            Alexandra Morrissey, parent, Rochester

Everything was very helpful to know.  Now I am going to share it with everyone in my community.
            Nate Clark, self-advocate, Mankato

Partners has helped me grow and fill out my “tree of knowledge” about disabilities and the issues that affect families and people with disabilities.  It is an old, slow-growing tree that still has a lot to learn!
            Jill Gebeck, parent, Two Harbors
