The Trust Edge:

Trust is a fundamental issue. Without it, leaders lose teams, individuals lose effectiveness, and organizations lose reputation, retention of good people, relationships and revenue. But with trust, everyone enjoys greater creativity, productivity, freedom, and results.  Combining humor and illustrations with insight and analysis, Dave will show you how the little things, done consistently, add up to huge results. You will walk away with concrete steps you can immediately use to improve your lives and careers.

"Out of the Ashes: Learning to Survive in a Changing World"

Out of the Ashes:
Learning to Survive in a Changing World
Using the compelling account of his harrowing journey to safety with his Guide Dog “Roselle” from the 78th floor of the World Trade Center on 9-11, Michael Hingson challenges his audience to access and strengthen their skills: trust, teamwork, risk-taking and creativity, to ease their way through changes in their work and personal lives.

About Michael Hingson
As was the case with many Americans, Michael Hingson's life changed dramatically on September 11, 2001. He and his Guide Dog "Roselle" were among those working in the World Trade Center that day, experiencing the terrorist attacks first hand.  Through a remarkable demonstration of trust and teamwork, Michael and Roselle escaped from the 78th floor of Tower One moments before it collapsed.

As a WTC survivor and Guide Dog user, Michael was thrust into the International limelight.  He and Roselle have since become well-known representatives of the strength of the human/animal bond, as well as the life-affirming power of trust and teamwork highlighted in many media interviews and public presentations.

As an internationally acclaimed public speaker, Michael has traveled the world speaking on topics such as Trust and Teamwork, Turning the Tables on Terrorism and Developing One’s Personal Inner Strength and Heroism to overcome whatever challenges we face. Having traveled with Guide Dogs for more than 45 years, Michael embodies the lifelong partnerships created out of trust and teamwork, and is uniquely qualified to speak about overcoming life’s challenges.

Prior to forming The Michael Hingson Group, Inc. in 2008, Michael’s career spanned nearly 30 years in senior sales and management for high tech, innovative companies.  Michael earned his master's degree in physics from the University of California at Irvine and is a lifetime member of the Physics Honors Society, Sigma Pi Sigma.  He is an authority on Assistive Technology and an advocate for empowering peoples with varying abilities.

Michael was recently named one of the top 10 educational speakers in the United States by the Innovators Speakers Network.

See what others have said about Dave:

“We had the pleasure of hosting Mr. Hingson and his Guide Dog ‘Roselle’ at our annual employee banquet. He surpassed all our expectations and with his story, we had our largest public gathering ever. The speech was powerful, moving, honest and professional. I wish everyone in the world could hear the message of hope, independence and empowerment from Mr. Hingson.”
—David C. Austin, Director of Communications, Envision

“I have given links to your website to several people. And since I last emailed you, several more people have told me how touched they were by your presentation, and how it was the best conference they have ever had. You will recall that this is a pretty tough group. I also overheard two men talking about the presentation. One asked what the other thought about the meeting. The other said ‘At last, a meaningful safety meeting, especially the message about teamwork. And did you notice, you could have heard a pin drop in that gym!’”
