2008 marks the 27th Anniversary of the Minnesota Government IT Symposium. As the premier IT event for Minnesota’s public sector, it is the longest running statewide IT event for government in the United States!
About the MN Government IT Symposium
For over 26 years, the MN Government IT Symposium has been providing up-to-date information, education and resources on the latest developments in IT trends, technologies, applications, policies, implementation issues, products and services. The three-day event includes:
  • Keynote Addresses from nationally known speakers and experts.
  • Full Day Seminars (vendor neutral) providing an opportunity to explore keys issues and topics in-depth.
  • Conference Sessions (vendor neutral) addressing current and critical issues in areas including: emerging trends/technologies, e-government services, leadership and management, the IT organization, implementation issues and security.
  • Vendor Solution Sessions highlighting vendor-specific applications, products and services for Minnesota’s public sector.
  • State of the Art Exhibit Hall showcasing the latest technologies and services available

2008 Planning Process Underway
With representatives from state agencies, counties, cities, higher education and nonprofits, a 30-member statewide planning committee will work throughout the summer to plan and organize the Symposium. Specifically, the planning committee's role is to review, prioritize and, ultimately, select the topics and speakers for this year's educational program. This process will be completed by mid September.
