Michael HawtonBoard Member Michael Hawton has held several management and leadership roles in various public organizations and private industries. The last several years of his career have been spent with the Minnesota Department of Health. Besides his current position as Planning and Strategy Coordinator for the Office of Statewide Health Improvement Initiatives, he has been involved with the Statewide Health Improvement Program (SHIP), the Minnesota e-Health Initiatives, the Minnesota Health Information Exchange (MNHIE), and the Community Health Information Collaborative. Michael has extensive experience in leading training efforts and providing educational presentations to a broad spectrum of public and private stakeholders. He has a Masters of Public Affairs from the Humphrey Institute (with a major in leadership and nonprofit management).
