FEATURED PRESENTERS

Pete Mchalek Co-Founder, SagePresence
Pete is a communications expert who has helped professionals find the right words and deliver them for maximum impact since 1999. He holds a Master’s degree in a unique program he designed at the University of Iowa, combining Film Production and Communication Theory, as well as a Bachelor’s in Speech & Communications from Gustavus Adolphus College. He produced and directed an Academy Awards semifinalist in 1991, and is past Director of Communications for the Twin Cities Chapter of the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD).

Dean Hyers, Co-Founder, Sage Presence
Dean began making movies as a teenager, became an entrepreneur in his twenties, and has stayed on these twin paths all his life. As he was going through the process of releasing his award-winning feature film Bill’s Gun Shop worldwide through Warner Bros., Dean was hired by a federal agency to use his actor-training skills to help covert agents develop their improvisational skills. This inspired him to co-found SagePresence, a company of filmmakers who use their expertise in message design and performance to help business professionals and organizations win over audiences of all size with confident stage presence. Dean is currently continuing to make movies as he speaks and trains for SagePresence.

Dave Horsager, Principal, Horsager Leadership Studio
Dave Horsager is a business strategist, author and keynote speaker who combines humor, illusions and memorable stories with research and insight. Through his Master’s research, as well as experience as Director of K-Life Inc., and founding partner of Special Delivery Productions, Dave learned firsthand the leadership secrets of the world’s most successful people. As a Certified Speaking Professional, he has shared these strategies on four continents, with audiences ranging from Fortune 500 executives and professional sports teams to the armed forces and local government groups. His recent book and program, The Trust Edge: What Top Leaders Have and Eight Pillars to Build It, focuses on gaining and keeping the trust of customers and colleagues. When he’s not speaking or writing, Dave continues to research and consult through Horsager Leadership Studio. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Organizational Leadership for Bethel University’s graduate program.
