The Kindergarten Education Profile (KEP): Promoting Coherence in Pre-K to 3rd Grade Teaching and Learning through Standards-Based Assessments
The Kindergarten Entry Profile (KEP) is a voluntary standards-based assessment system (based on the ECIPs) that honors local control by offering districts/charter schools a menu of comprehensive, developmentally appropriate tools that can be used to understand what students know and are able to do at the start of kindergarten in order to support their success in kindergarten and beyond. This session will explore what the KEP is, why it's important, and how it works - including how data from a KEP approved assessment tool can be used. If you think your district/school might want to join the KEP, this is a great opportunity to learn more.
