Minnesota Office of Enterprise Technology website
July 1,2005 saw the launch of a new state agency, the Office of Enterprise Technology, under the direction of a Governor-appointed State Chief Information Officer. Merged within the Office of Enterprise Technology will be the Minnesota Office of Technology and InterTechnologies Group - both former divisions of the Department of Administration.

The Office of Enterprise Technology mandate is to:

  • Provide oversight, leadership and direction for information and telecommunications technology policy and the management and delivery of information and telecommunications technology systems and services in Minnesota; and
  • Manage strategic investments in information and telecommunications technology systems and services to encourage the development of a technically literate society, to ensure sufficient access to and efficient delivery of government services, and to maximize benefits for the state government as an enterprise.
  • Although the Office of Technology (OT ) and InterTechnologies Group (ITG) are merging into a new agency, current services will not be disrupted. New services and processes will evolve over time with input from agencies and customers, as a plan for the new agency are developed in the coming six months.
