GTS — empowering individuals and organizations to translate knowledge to action
If you are a nonprofit or public sector group looking to create a conference, workshop or educational event with impact, look to GTS. We believe educational events are successful when participants learn and grow and then return to their organizations and communities to make them stronger. After participating in a GTS educational event, attendees will think differently, see new perspectives and be empowered to bring new ideas and proven strategies to the table.
We look forward to continuing our work with the broad spectrum of organizations striving to make a difference for the people and communities they serve.

2011 — A year of transition for GTS as we say goodbye to two VIPs
Barb Peterson retired in August after 19 years. Her time with GTS didn't follow a typical pattern: She began as a program manager, left to earn her MBA, returned for a 3+ year assignment to lead a large federal project, left to work as a Deputy Clerk in the Federal Courts, and returned to GTS for an 11-year stint as Business Manager with additional program responsibilities. It was surprising and fortuitous that our needs and her availability meshed so well. We are grateful that she chose to share her many skills with GTS.

| Morrie Anderson resigned from the GTS Board of Directors in September. He was member of the inaugural board formed in January 2005 after the GTS structure changed from a public, joint powers entity to a nonprofit. Our organization has benefited greatly from his expertise, network and experience related to a broad range of groups we serve, including the Association of Minnesota Counties, the Minnesota Department of Revenue and Minnesota State Colleges and Universities. His service is greatly appreciated. |
